Spectrum 3 Tri-Range MIR/NIR/FIR Spectrometer with Spotlight 200i FT-IR Microscopy System utilizing the GladiATR Illuminate as an ATR accessory

PerkinElmer’s Spectrum™ 3 FT-IR spectrometer provides mid-, near-, and far-infrared performance with a single instrument. The Spectrum 10 software suite controls the Spotlight 200i system and can support advanced FT-IR analyses that consistently deliver optimal results. The combined system is ideal for inorganic, organic or composite materials. It also allows the observation of cross-sections of microfibers and the performance of ATR-FTIR analyses of samples in-situ.

FTIR:

  • automated source system for NIR, MIR and FIR range
  • the software automatically checks the quality of the recorded spectrum
  • the standard sample holder enables measurements in transmission
  • the spectrometer recognizes attachments for reflection measurements by their serial number and automatically adapts to them

  • the instrument measures the reference spectrum of the background in advance and thus enables greater throughput of analyses. Samples are automatically detected by the spectrometer
  • the spectrometer is useful for immediate analyzes with transmission techniques (polymer film of the spread technique, Cast Film and Hot Melt Film, suspension in Nujol, liquid cell for qualitative and quantitative analysis)
  • the spectrometer enables the subsequent assembly of a liquid nitrogen-cooled high-response MCT detector

IR microscope: Microscope with automated visible and infrared microscopy, motorized positioning of samples (x,y) and autofocus, autocorrection, automatic switching between transmission and reflection.

The Spectrum Spotlight 200i FT-IR microscopy system allows you to work in the following modes:

  • transmission
  • reflection
  • micro ATR using the supplied ATR lens (L1862043 Automated micro ATR)
  • optional ATR mapping with a special germanium attachment.

ATR attachment: It enables IR analysis of virtually any sample, liquid, powder, pasty, solid, without prior sample preparation. With the help of the ATR attachment, qualitative and quantitative analysis of samples is possible, in the latter case the sample must be very homogeneous, and the software must enable determination of the force with which the sample is compressed on the ATR, because the magnitude of the force affects the intensity of the peaks.
