2nd Conference of the FS Programme Groups

Successful 2nd Conference of Research Programme Groups at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

We are proud to announce the successful completion of the 2nd Conference of Research Programme Groups at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, titled “Engineering Materials and Process Technologies,” held on 29 September 2025 at the Rectorate of the University of Maribor. The event brought together five research programme groups (P2-0424, P2-0063, P2-0120, P2-0118, and P2-0196) that collectively advance functional materials, nanomaterials, cellular metamaterials, innovative design solutions, advanced process technologies, and breakthroughs in energy and environmental engineering. During the conference, researchers presented their latest findings and innovations and engaged in discussions on current challenges and emerging opportunities in areas crucial to the future of engineering – from functional and nanostructured materials, cellular structures, and metastable materials to textile chemistry, energy systems, and environmental engineering.

A Best Poster Award was presented to recognize outstanding research contributions.

The conference reaffirmed the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering’s commitment to excellence, bridging science and industry, and enhancing the international visibility of Slovenian research and innovation.
